Philip John Clapp (better known as Johnny Knoxville), the 32 year old
6'1" host of MTV' Jackass, was born on March 11, 1971 and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. From an early age he was an atheletic daredevil, throwing himself
from his crib, according to his parents, Phil and Lemoyne. At the age of 7, PJ decided to take a stick to a hornet's nest
near his home. At 13, the straight-A student produced a phony report card with
failing grades which was left out for his parents to find. Then there was that time he jumped from a second-story hotel room
into a pool... However, Johnny admits that he got his odd sense of humor from his father, who ran Clapp's Tire Store. He recalls
several practical jokes his father played while he was growing up: Running a lukewarm hot dog through Johnny's lips while
he was asleep (then pretending to zip his pants when his son awoke); Staging a gunfight at the Christmas party; Giving Ex-Lax
milkshakes to friends. Plus during PJ's senior year at South Young high school Phil helped his son create letters supposedly
from a VD clinic which were sent to several friends on the football team. Fellow classmates have said Johnny was always very outgoing and
loved to be the center of attention. Once he got up in front of the whole school during a pep rally and lip sang the song
from Ferris Bueler's Day Off. He also played Danny Zucho in a chorus production of "Grease".
After graduating from high school at the age of 18, Johnny
moved to California to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasedena on a scholoarship. However, he dropped out
within weeks. When he met his neighbor, a Texan named Melanie, they quickly fell in love. In 1995 they decided to elope to
Las Vegas, Nevada to get married. But when they got there, Johnny ended up gambling away all their money and they were forced
to marry in a smaller church. Johnny and Melanie are still married and in 1996 they had a daughter, Madison, whose name is
tattooed on left side of Johnny's chest. Early in his marriage, Johnny supported his family by appearing
in commercials (for Taco Bell, Coors Light, and Mountain Dew) and worked on a novel (which he never finished) in his free
time. He also wrote occasional articles for Blunt, Bikini, and Big Brother Magazines. Once he even spent the night in a field
with 10,000 hippies during the Rainbow Gathering for a story.
In 1996 Johnny had the idea to shoot himself with pepper spray,
a taser, a stun gun, .38, and then write an article about the experience. He pitched the idea to a couple of magazines that
turned it down. Finally in 1997 he told Jeff Tremaine (editor at Big Brother Magazine) about his idea. Jeff hired him as journalist
and convinced him to videotape this idea and other stunts (getting hit by car, poo poo platter, etc.) for stories. Eventually
these became part of the Big Brother videos Boob and Number Two. Johnny quickly became a cult hit and soon there was a bidding
war between MTV and Comedy Central to land him a TV show. He was offered a spot on Saturday Night Live, but turned it down.
That's when Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, and Spike Jonze pitched the idea of Jackass to MTV...it would combine part of
the Big Brother Crew with the East Coast CKY crew (skateboarding pranksters Bam Margera, Brandon DiCamillo, and Ryan Dunn)
and would allow the three producers creative control. MTV jumped at this unique idea. Alongside Johnny, Tremaine, and Jonze
on the show were Bam Margera, Chris Pontius, Ryan Dunn, Brandon DiCamillo, Jason 'Wee Man' Acuna, Dave England, Ehren McGhegan,
Steve-O, and Preston Lacy. Jackass quickly became one of cable's highest rated shows and
eventually sparked many recent movie deals for Johnny Knoxville including a big screen version of Jackass. In addition to
his father, Johnny names Slim Pickens, Strother Martin, George C. Scott, Paul Lynde, Charles Nelson Reilly, Ron Palillo, Dave
Letterman, Super Dave Osborne, and Candid Camera as many of his influences. Johnny currently has several films that have been released, as well as many others in production.

LAKEWOOD, Colorado (AP) -- Reality television's Vincent "Don Vito"
Margera, uncle of "Viva La Bam" star Bam Margera, was held without bond Saturday on a charge of sexual assault on a child.
Margera, 50, was arrested Friday night after a skateboarding
event at a Lakewood mall. He is accused of two incidents of sexual assault on a child, city spokeswoman Stacie Oulton said.
She said the charges involved inappropriate touching.
The MTV show "Viva La Bam" focuses largely on Bam Margera playing
practical jokes on his parents and uncle, whose dialogue is often unintelligible.
Vincent Margera came to Colorado to film promotional material
for ManiaTV.com, which first reported his arrest. ManiaTV.com founder Drew Massey said Margera had finished his work before
the arrest.
Bam Margera, a professional skateboarder, was not with his
uncle on the trip.
BAM BIO
Though his talent on the skateboard is undeniable,
thrasher-turned-prankster foul king Bam Margera has gained more notoriety for tormenting his long-suffering family and friends
on national television than for his curb grinding skills. As a member of the bodily-fluid-obsessed Jackass crew, Margera's
unhinged antics nearly topped that of fellow headliner Johnny Knoxville with his similar themed CKY series (named after his
brother Jess' band, Camp Kill Yourself). CKY made Knoxville's MTV-friendly creation look absolutely tame by comparison. Born
Brandon Cole Margera in West Chester, PN, it didn't take long for the energetic youngster to take to skateboarding. Armed
with a video camera, Margera and his friends began videotaping their extreme pranks and unpredictable antics for posterity
in their early teens. Though no one would have guessed at the time that those videos would have such an influence on the entertainment
industry. They were eventually culled together to form the ongoing CKY series -- a somewhat more crude precursor to MTV's
phenomenally successful series Jackass. A high point came when the latter was turned into a number one box-office hit in the
fall of 2002, though by the time the movie hit theaters, the show had run its course and hopes for a sequel remained high.
Margera soon stepped into the spotlight for MTV's Viva La Bam, a series which proudly carried the Jackass torch, sans Knoxville.
Utilizing funds gained from Jackass, Margera next stepped behind the camera to direct the movie Haggard, based on a true story
concerning partner-in-crime Ryan Dunn's notoriously unfaithful former girlfriend. The unhinged comedy features performances
by such familiar faces as Chris Raab, Brandon Dicamillo, and legendary pro-skater Tony Hawk. In 2006 the Jackass crew got
back together to make the pointedly titled Jackass: Number Two, featuring more painful stunts and bizarre practical jokes.

Brandon Cole "Bam" Margera (born September 28, 1979 in West Chester, Pennsylvania) is a professional skateboarder, actor, creator of the "CKY" skate/prank/stunt videos, and radio personality. He is also
the star of Viva la Bam, and member of the Jackass crew. He currently resides in his large castle-type house, named Castle Bam.
Education
Margera went to East High School. He cites Raab Himself as his only reason for attending high school, and dropped out
after Raab got expelled for smearing feces on a locker (as told in CKY). He then successfully received his GED at the insistence of his parents, April Margera and Phil Margera.
The CKY Videos
Bam got his start by making his own skateboarding videos, known
as the cKy videos. Camp Kill Yourself (a.k.a cKy) is also the name of his brother Jess's rock band (see CKY). These early videos feature most of the CKY crew, most notably
Ryan Dunn, Brandon DiCamillo, Rake Yohn, Raab Himself, and Brandon Novak. His videos and television shows often include his long-suffering
parents, Phil and April, his uncle Vincent Margera ("Don Vito"), and ex-fiancée Jen Rivell (Margera broke off his engagement to Rivell in early 2005).
Skateboarding career
Before becoming a professional skateboarder, he could be found
frequenting the local skate spots, performing at area fairgrounds, and loitering at Fairman's skate shop.
As a professional skater in the January of 2005, Margera successfully landed The Loop in Phoenix, Arizona. He became the 13th known skater to land it, and was the first
street skater to successfully land it[citation needed].
Other enterprises
His weekly Sirius Satellite Radio show is called Radio Bam.
Margera directed and co-wrote (with Brandon DiCamillo and Chris Aspite) a low-budget independent film called Haggard, starring himself and his friends, released in 2003. Margera also has a small speaking part in the skateboarding
movie "Grind".
He also directed four music videos for the Finnish band HIM (Buried Alive By Love, The Sacrament, And Love Said No, and Solitary
Man).
He directed the music video for The 69 Eyes (Lost Boys)
Margera also appeared on Punk'd, in 2005. Ashton Kutcher 'trapped' Margera's Element team manager inside of a convenience store while staging an elaborate
hold-up, complete with weapon-wielding police officers. (The real LAPD SWAT team helped with this prank)
He has also been animated as a character into a number of pro-skateboarder
Tony Hawk's video games. In fact, he is featured as a main character in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Tony Hawk's Underground, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, and the upcoming Tony Hawk's Project 8 and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam.
In 2006, Bam started on a new animated series for MTV slated to air in the summer. Bam also had two special episodes
of Viva la Bam entitled Viva La Spring Break.
He will also be starring in Jackass: Number Two, the sequel to Jackass: The Movie, which will be released September 22, 2006.
Trivia
- Bam's name originates from his childhood when he would sometimes
go crazy and run into walls, causing his grandfather to say "Bam, bam, bam, chill out! Bam!" Bam was 3 years old[1]
- Bam is a fan of, friend of, and occasional video director
for H.I.M.'s frontman, Ville Valo. Bam has licensed the band's logo, the heartagram (a pentagram with two points curved to incorporate a heart symbol), for personal use. Bam has had himself tattooed with the heartagram.
- Bam played keyboard in the band Gnarkill, alongside his friend Brandon Dicamillo and his brother Jess Margera.
- Margera owns his own record label; Filthy Note Records. He has signed Swedish hard rock band Vains of Jenna to it,[2] and has produced their first video "Noones Gonna Do It For You"[3].
- Bam is engaged to Melissa "Missy" Rothstein. He proposed to
her in the King of Prussia Shopping Mall. The two are going to be tying the knot in October 2006.[4]
- In the DVD commentary for Jackass: The Box Set, Margera said that Element Skateboards pays him two million dollars a year to wear their clothing.
- Bam is currently writing, producing, and directing his new
feature film, a sequel to Haggard, titled Kiss a Good Man's Ass. The film will feature the "garbage juicer" invention shown in Haggard.[5] He announced another film he is working on called The Dream Seller. The Dream Seller is a nickname for
long-time friend and fellow skater Brandon Novak.[6]
- Most episodes of Bam's show had shown him to own both a red
2003 Hummer H2 and a purple Lamborghini Gallardo as well as a Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG with a heartagram on the front instead of the Mercedes-Benz logo. In Season Five, however, showed the H2 being dropped off a cliff by Don Vito as revenge for constant
torment. The Lamborghini has been modified with help from friend Billy Idol to include a sunroof (a rough rectangle crudely cut with a reciprocating
saw). Bam bragged that his was the only vehicle of its kind with a sunroof. Since the end of filming on Viva La Bam, Bam has replaced the red H2 with a blue H3. Adio shoes recently presented Bam with a light blue Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster.

of snakes. He and Johnny get a snake on Bam and he starts to scream, much to Knoxville's surprise and amusement.
- Bam will be in a film called Surviving Sundays with Ashton Kutcher the movie is said to be out in theaters in
2007 or 2008
